The flexible mélange (heather) yarn in Rainbow-technology
In the textile industry, short lead-times are a crucial competitive advantage. But to grant the required flexibility with large inventories is expensive and risky. The Rainbow-technology is an innovative solution to produce any desired mélange shade in a very flexible and easy way.
The Rainbow-technology is based on a treatment which fundamentally changes the dyestuff absorption of the fiber, so that it dyes in a much deeper shade. By blending Rainbow treated and untreated fibers, mélange yarns are produced which can be dyed in any desired color in a simple process. Depending on the production flow, the yarn, the knitted/woven fabric or the garment can be dyed.
