Precious blend with silk - SwissModal® Silk

Due to various requests from our clients, we have expanded our product range with a silk blend recently. The high-class yarn SwissModal® Silk promises highest quality in processing and provide your textiles with an elegant, lustrous sheen, a comfortable soft touch and excellent wearing properties.

The especially selected silk with minimal foreign fiber contamination, enables the production of yarns which are ideal also for critical applications as white and light color shades. As a natural product, the first grade Kibiso mulberry silk provides the yarns with a valuable character. The silk we are using is cultivated in regions with favorable climatic conditions, which are crucial for an optimal growth of the silk worm. The result is a white, clean cocoon giving even fibers.

The positive fiber properties, as well as the good blending with Micro Modal, result in a yarn of excellent evenness which is perfectly suitable for a smooth processing in the subsequent production steps.

SwissModal® Silk is available as blend with 15% silk and spun in a count range Ne 30 to Ne 80 (Nm 50 – 135).
