New: Micro Modal mélange yarns in Rainbow-technology
In the textile industry, short lead-times are a crucial competitive advantage. But to grant the required flexibility with large inventories is expensive and risky. The Rainbow-technology is an innovative solution to produce any desired mélange shade in a very flexible and easy way. Since recently, Bühler applies “Rainbow” also to the production of mélange (heather) yarns made from Lenzing Micro Modal.
The Rainbow-technology is based on a treatment which fundamentally changes the dyestuff absorption of the fiber, so that it dyes in a much deeper shade. By blending Rainbow treated and untreated fibers, mélange yarns are produced which can be dyed in any desired color in a simple process. Depending on the production flow, the yarn, the knitted/woven fabric or the garment can be dyed.
The advantages of Micro Modal mélange yarns in Rainbow-technology are obvious:
- drastic reduction of lead-time at all production levels in the whole supply-chain
- reduced inventory levels and risks
- no dyed-yarn leftovers that cannot be used anymore
- optimal availability of all color versions
- quick reaction on short-term color trends
- cost-effective manufacturing also for small lots
- very small minimum quantities
SwissModal Rainbow is available in the mélange levels 5%, 15%, 35% and in the count range Ne 30 – 80 (Nm 50 – 135) .
