By blending Rainbow-treated fiber with regular, untreated cotton, a heather-yarn in Rainbow-technology can be produced. After piece- or garment dyeing, the heather effect becomes visible in any desired color. The advantages are obvious: full flexibility in color selection, short lead-times, no minimums for special colors, no heather-yarn leftovers, etc.

Rainbow-heather yarns are available in the three shades "light", "dark" and "extra-dark". By varying the dyestuff concentration, a very wide range of color shades can be achieved

Royal-spun yarns from Bühler combine the advantages of plied- and single yarns in a single product: Yarn evenness, strength and the low hairiness are similar to a plied yarn while the soft and gentle hand is like a single yarn. In addition, the usage of extra long staple cotton amplifies the advantages of royal spinning.

And last but not least: SwissCotton Royal is not just for “Royals”! It is just a little more expensive than a regular ring-spun yarn, but with much added value.

SwissCotton Silver®

Hermann Bühler AG, the specialized spinning mill for exclusive cotton yarns and blends, is introducing SwissCotton Silver, a 100 % natural yarn with exciting functional characteristics!

SwissCotton Silver is a blend of 90 – 95 % high-quality cotton and X-Static, a Polyamide fiber coated with pure silver. The X-Static silver fiber delivers excellent antimicrobial, anti-odor, antistatic and therapeutic characteristics. In addition, X-Static’s conductive properties help regulate temperature: It’s warm in winter and cool in summer.

Thanks to these characteristics, which are maintained even after numerous washings, X-Static is perfectly suited for sports and everyday life. Because silver is a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent, it’s also used in medical applications. Wound-care, the treatment of neurodermatitis and athlete’s foot are examples of a wide range of possible applications.

As a natural product, pure silver is perfectly safe for people. There is no indication of allergies or any adverse reactions. Leading institutions around the world have confirmed the excellent characteristics of X-Static.
